Visualization Faculty Position Available: The Computer Science and Engineering Department at The Ohio State University seeks to fill multiple tenure-track positions as part of multi-year effort to grow the department. Applicants with expertise ininformation visualization and visual analytics are strongly encouraged to apply. Although the search is primarily focused on a position at the assistant professor level, highly qualified applicants at more senior levels will also be seriously considered.

This position is partially funded by Translational Data Analytics (TDA), a focus area of Ohio State's Discovery Themes; a significant faculty hiring investment in key thematic areas in which the university can build on its culture of academic collaboration to make a global impact.

Applicants should hold or be completing a PhD in computer science and engineering or a closely related field, have a commitment to and demonstrated record of excellence in research, and a commitment to excellence in teaching.  Further, it is important that the candidate can demonstrate her/his ability to be able to work in applications such as digital humanities, physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, and various transactional disciplines (geography, sociology, economics, etc.). This is required to be successful as TDA-faculty.
