TEASYS – NEWS

Despite the Corona crisis, the Tübingen Annotating Literature student  
groups will continue to meet (online) during the summer term. For more  
information on how you can participate, see[1].

The Annotated Web Edition Directory[2] is looking forward to your  
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to  
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that  
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),  
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to  
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on  
our webpage. We thank you for your help.
 
Our latest additions to the Directory are Elizabethandrama.org[3] and  
Shakespeare Navigators[4].

CALLS FOR PAPERS/UPCOMING EVENTS

PLEASE NOTE THAT, DUE TO THE CURRENT CORONA CRISIS, IT IS POSSIBLE  
THAT MANY OF THESE EVENTS WILL BE POSTPONED OR CANCELLED. WE WILL KEEP  
YOU UPDATED ON ANY CHANGES.

The 3rd Workshop InfDH 2020 "Methoden und Anwendungen der  
Computational Humanities[5] will take place towards the beginning of  
October in Karlsruhe, Germany. The exact date will be announced soon.  
The deadline for submissions is APRIL 30, 2020.

Call for abstracts for the two-day Digital Humanities Symposium[6] at  
the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (TSHD) at  
Tilburg University, the Netherlands, from June 24-25, 2020.  The  
deadline for submissions is MAY 1, 2020; please send your abstracts  
via easychair.org[7].

The Open-Access-Tage 2020[8] (organised by the University of  
Bielefeld, Germany) will take place as a virtual conference on  
September 15-17, 2020. Submissions are due MAY 3, 2020.
The deadline for proposals for the Digital Humanities Austria  
Conference[9] (Vienna, September 23-25, 2020) is MAY 4, 2020.

Call for papers for Conversations on Data and Computational Pedagogy.  
Deadline for submissions is JUNE 1, 2020. For more information  
concerning the submission guidelines please follow the link[10].

Urszula Pawlicka-Deger and Christopher Thomson are inviting proposals  
towards a book project tentatively titled Digital Humanities  
Laboratories: Global Perspectives[11]. The goal of this collection is  
to explore laboratories in digital humanities in the global context,  
to reflect on their epistemological and organizational implications  
for scholarly knowledge production, and to reveal the ways  
laboratories contribute to digital research and pedagogy as they  
emerge globally amid varied cultural and scientific traditions. The  
deadline is JUNE 15, 2020.

The 2nd workshop on Structuring and Understanding of Multimedia  
heritAge Contents[12] will take place on October 12 or 15, 2020 in  
Seattle. Due to the Corona crisis, this event will possibly be held as  
a virtual workshop. The deadline is JUNE 29, 2020.

Call for papers for the /Journal of Interactive Technology and  
Pedagogy/[13] (JITP): the journal accepts submissions on any topic  
within the field.

The Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon[14] is postponed till autumn  
2020, register your interest to keep informed.

DH2020 in Ottawa has been cancelled, more news about the workshop will  
be available by early May. For more information, please see[15].

SPRING/SUMMER SCHOOLS

Application for the European Summer University in Digital Humanities  
2020[16] (Leipzig, Germany, July 28 – August 7, 2020) is possible  
until APRIL 30, 2020.

You can now register[17] for the DHSI 2020[18], taking place between  
June 1-5 and June 8-12, 2020, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. A  
list of course offerings can be found at

[THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.] DHSI Atlantic will be hosted at  
University College Cork, Ireland, from June 15-19, 2020. For more  
information and to see the programme follow this link[19].
Registration[20] is now open for the DH at Guelph Summer Workshops 2020  
at the University of Guelph from MAY 4-7, 2020. For a list of all the  
courses see here[21].

The Humanities Intensive Learning & Teaching Institute (HILT) has  
opened registration for HILT2020 hosted by the Center for Digital  
Research in the Humanities at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, FROM  
MAY 18-22, 2020. For more information on HILT2020 please visit the

JOBS/SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS

The SLUB Dresden is hiring a coordinator in the field of  
e-resources[24]. The deadline is MAY 3, 2020.

The University of Innsbruck, Austria, is offering a tenure track  
position[25] in the field of translation studies with a focus on  
terminology and language technology. The deadline is MAY 13, 2020.

The University of Hildesheim (Germany) is offering one PhD  
position[26] in the field of app development and early modern art.
