The Annotated Web Edition Directory[3] is looking forward to your
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on
our webpage. We thank you for your help.

CALLS FOR PAPERS/UPCOMING EVENTS
Call for Hosts: The Conference Coordinating Committee of the Alliance
of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) invites proposals to host
the Digital Humanities Conference in 2023[4]. Parties interested in
submitting a proposal should contact a Constituent Organization
officer by FEBRUARY 28, 2020 to express interest and request support.
Umanistica Digitale, the journal of AIUCD (Italian DH Association), is
now accepting proposals for the number 9 (scheduled for publishing
Autumn 2020). The journal publishes original scientific articles
(5-10.000 words), reviews and event reports (1-3.500 words) in Italian
and English on any subject and sub-field of Digital Humanities. The
proposals[5] must be submitted to the journal OJS website by FEBRUARY
29, 2020.
Call for Papers for the “Children's Literature and Digital Humanities
Conference[6]” at University of Antwerp, October 22-23, 2020. Please
send your abstracts and short bios to childlit at uantwerpen.be before
MARCH 15, 2020.
Call for Participation for "Balisage: The Markup Conference 2020”.
Paper submissions are due April 2, 2020. You will find the full call
here[7].
Call for Proposals for the 7th Annual Digital Pedagogy Institute (DPI)
Conference. For the full CfP please visit the website[8]. Proposals
are DUE APRIL 14, 2020.
Call for Essays for /Impressions, Vol. 2: Essays on the Art of
Printing/[9], published by The Legacy Press. For more information

Applications are invited for participation in a series of advanced
seminars on text analysis, sponsored by the Northeastern University
Women Writers Project. The programme can be found under the following

UPDATES
The European Association for Digital Humanities is very pleased to
announce that its second INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE EADH 2020 will be
held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. The conference will be hosted by the
Siberian Federal University and will take place in September 2020.

SPRING/SUMMER SCHOOLS
You can now register[11] for the DHSI 2020[12], taking place between
June 1-5 and June 8-12, 2020, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. A
list of course offerings can be found at

DHSI Atlantic will be hosted at University College Cork, Ireland, FROM
JUNE 15-19, 2020. For more information and to see the programme follow
this link[13].
You are invited to join the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and
Cultural Heritage for their Spring School "Linked Data and the
Semantic Web for Humanities Research - LiSeH 2020" from April 14-17,
2020, at the University of Graz, Austria. Applications are accepted
until FEBRUARY 29, 2020. Detailed information and the application form
can be found under the following link[14].
From June 29 - 3 July, 2020, the University of Antwerp's Centre for
Digital humanities and literary Criticism (ACDC) is organising its
third annual Summer School in Digital Humanities[15]. For a course
description see here[16]. Deadline for applications is MARCH 16, 2020.
The Helsinki Digital Humanities Hackathon #DHH20 will be organised
from May 27 - June 5, 2020, as CLARIN and DARIAH international summer
school. The application period is from MARCH 2 - APRIL 2,2020.
Applications will now be accepted for the first Venice Summer School
in Digital and Public Humanities, from 6-10 July 2020, organized by
the Venice Centre for Digital and Public Humanities (VeDPH) at the
Foscari University of Venice. Application deadline is MARCH 6, 2020.
Registration[17] is now open for the DH at Guelph Summer Workshops 2020
at the University of Guelph from MAY 4-7, 2020. For a list of all the
courses see here[18].
The Humanities Intensive Learning & Teaching Institute (HILT) has
opened registration for HILT2020 hosted by the Center for Digital
Research in the Humanities at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, FROM
MAY 18-22, 2020. For more information on HILT2020 please visit the

JOBS/SCHOLARSHIPS/GRANTS
The Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen (Germany) is looking
for an IT developer and coordinator of externally funded projects[21].
The deadline is FEBRUARY 25, 2020.
The Freie Universität Berlin is offering a W2 professorship in the
field of the DH[22]. The professorship is closely related to the
cluster of excellence 2020 /Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in
a Global Perspective/. The deadline is FEBRUARY 27, 2020.
The "Dr. Eberle Zentrum für digitale Kompetenzen" at the University of
Tübingen, Germany, is looking for someone to teach, consult, advise
and perform administrative tasks in their digital humanities project.
Please send your application with the mail header “DE/01/20” to
michael.derntl[at]uni-tuebingen.de until FEBRUARY 29, 2020.
The Trier Center for Digital Humanities (University of Trier, Germany)
is offering several fellowships for doctoral students and postdoctoral
researchers[23]. Each fellowship has a duration of 3-12 months,
depending on the requirements of the proposed fellowship project, to
be conducted in the course of the year 2020. The fellowships are
connected to the project "Mining and Modeling Text: Interdisciplinary
Applications, Technology Development, Legal Perspectives" (MiMoText).
The deadline is FEBRUARY 29, 2020.
Apply now to become a DHRI Community Leader, and join the second
Digital Humanities Research Institute (DHRI) at The Graduate Center,
City University of New York, from JUNE 15-24, 2020. For more

The Max Planck Computing and Data Facility (MPCDF) in Garching (near
Munich) is looking for a research coordinator in the field of data
management[26]. The deadline is MARCH 13, 2020.
The Deutsches Historisches Institut (Washington DC) is looking for a
research fellow in the field of Digital History[27]. The deadline is
MARCH 15, 2020.
The Institut für Zeitgeschichte (München) is looking for a research
fellow[28] for its “Kritische Online-Edition der Tagebücher Michael
Kardinal von Faulhabers 1911-1952”. The deadline is MARCH 16, 2020.
