TEASys – News
 From October 9-13, the DFG SYMPOSIUM DIGITAL HUMANITIES will take  
place at Villa Vigoni. TEASys will be presented in a paper co-authored  
by Matthias Bauer, Gabriel Viehhauser (Stuttgart) and Angelika Zirker.
 
We continue to publish select TERM PAPERS that were written in the  
context of one of the /Annotating Literature /seminars at the  
University of Tübingen:
Our latest addition is by Bettina Weiner: “Annotating with a Purpose:  
Theatrical Self – Reflexivity in Sonnet 23, Or How to Stage Silent  
Love, with Language, in a Sonnet”. [Link[1]]
 
The Annotated Web Edition Directory is looking forward to your  
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to  
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that  
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),  
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to  
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on  
our webpage. We thank you for your help.

Calls for Papers/ Upcoming Events
Papers can be handed in for the AIUCD 2018 Conference[2] on /Cultural  
Heritage in the Digital Age/ (Bari, Jan 31st - Feb 2nd, 2018). The  
deadline is SEPTEMBER 30.
 
You can apply for the Masterclass on Creating Open Educational  
Resources for #dariahTeach[3], which will be held in Berlin November  
30th to December 1st. The deadline is OCTOBER 5.
 
Proposals are due OCTOBER 25 for Digital Humanities in Nordic  
Countries[4] 2018 (University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland, 7-9  
March 2018).
 
The Conference „Die Handschriften der Hofschule Kaiser Karls des  
Großen[5] – individuelle Gestalt und europäisches Kulturerbe“ will  
take place from 11-13 October 2018 in Trier, Germany. Papers can be  
handed in until DECEMBER 31.
 
Participants of the Dhd 2018[6] (Cologne, February 26 to March 2,  
2018) can apply for travel stipends[7]. The deadline is FEBRUARY 1,  
2018.
 
PAPERS ARE DUE MARCH 30, 2018 for Digital Humanities and Ritual  
Space[8] (Rethymnon, Crete 19-21 October 2018).
 
You can register now for the workhop “Metadata 2020: Accelerating  
Scholarly Discovery[9]” (Washington DC,  26-29 October 2017).  
 
The EADH is calling for bids to host the First EADH Conference[10] to  
be held in 2018. The deadline is OCTOBER 15.
 
The Annual TEI Conference[11] will be held November 13-15, 2017 in  
Victoria. Registration is not yet open, but you can take a look at the  
conference workshops.

Jobs
The Centre of Excellence in Ancient Near Eastern Empires at the  
University of Helsinki is looking for postdocs[12] specialising in DH  
and the ancient world (Team 1). The deadline is OCTOBER 15.

The /Institut für deutsche Sprache /is hiring a research fellow[13]  
for the project „Zugänge zu multimodalen Korpora gesprochener  
Sprache“. The deadline is OCTOBER 27.
