Dear all,
I am writing to inform you about an exciting open position in our Visualization and Visual Analytics Group at the University of Cologne. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the PhD or PostDoc level.
Here are some key details about the position:
Research Focus: The candidate will have the opportunity to conduct research in topics such as novel visualization techniques, AI-based visualization (Vis4AI), Explainable AI, human-computer interaction, perception and cognition, or other related areas within our group's research scope. 
Applications of interest include meteorology, biology, healthcare, transportation, and finance 
Teaching Assistance: The role includes teaching assistance for 4 hours per week, which may involve exercises, thesis supervision, seminars, and practical programming and system design in German and English.
Organizational Tasks: The candidate will also help with the organization of the group and building research cooperations 
Employment Details: The position is full-time, with a start date as soon as possible, latest by October 2026, and a duration of up to 3 years under Tariff E13 in Germany.
