[Ieee_vis_open_positions] Fully funded PhD studentship on visual analytics in healthcare

We are inviting applicants for a fully funded PhD position on visualising connected data to support decision-making that improves the life chances of young people. The project is a collaboration with the ActEarly Consortium (https://actearly.org.uk/) and the Bradford Institute for Health Research.
Based mainly at the purpose-built Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research at Bradford Royal Infirmary site (https://wolfsoncahr.uk/), the doctoral student will benefit from a highly dynamic research environment with a community of researchers from the Universities of Bradford and Leeds with NHS researchers at the Improvement Academy, Bradford Institute for Health Research, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This highly collaborative working environment supports real-world, interdisciplinary research that improves the health of underrepresented communities.

The position is in the field of Visualisation and Human-Computer Interaction. The successful candidate will provide evidence of the following competences:
* Strong written and oral communication skills in English language
* MSc degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
* Experience in one or more of the following fields: Human-Computer Interaction, visualisation, or machine learning
* Excellent software engineering skills
* Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
