[Ieee_vis_open_positions] PostDoc position to qualify for a professorship at a university of applied sciences

Dear all, 

 

at the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences in Germany, we currently
have a job opening for a PostDoc with a focus on machine learning / visual
analytics. Two key competencies are required for a professorship at a
university of applied sciences: a special aptitude for scientific work and
in-depth practical experience. The position has been designed so that both
requirements can be met by the PostDoc within three years, allowing for
subsequent application for a professorship at a university of applied
sciences. 

 

For this reason, the PostDoc will spend part of the time working at the
University of Applied Sciences Offenburg and part of the time conducting
applied research at a local company.

With more than 4,200 students, numerous laboratories and interdisciplinary
research institutes, such as the Institute for Machine Learning and
Analytics (IMLA), Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (HSO) offers
excellent conditions for the next step of qualification in applied research
and teaching for a university professorship.

The necessary industrial practical experience can be gained at BCT
Technology AG in Willstätt, Germany's leading Siemens Digital Industries
Software Partner for digitalization in mechanical engineering and related
areas of the manufacturing industry.

 

Ideally, the candidate should be proficient in the German language.
