[Ieee_vis_open_positions] 12 Open PhD Positions at TU Chemnitz

The DFG-funded Research Training Group “Crossworlds – Coupling real and
virtual social worlds” is a cooperation of the  Faculty of Computer Science
and the Faculty of Humanities with the aim to explore the increasing
digitization and the associated virtualization of processes, forms of
communication, environments and ultimately the human counterpart. The
research agenda describes and implements possibilities of interaction and
user experience.

For this the following positions are offered starting April 1st, 2015. The
contract will be issued initially until December 2015 month and annual
renewed *up to three years.* The position is subject to appropriation of
the grant.
At the Faculty of Arts:

*six PhD positions (65% position, salary scale 13 TV-L Germany/Saxony)*

At the Faculty of computer science:

*six PhD positions (100% position, salary scale 13 TV-L Germany/Saxony)*
The temporary employment is governed by the regulations of the
“Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz” (WissZeitVG) [*law for temporary
contracts in science*] and the “Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetzes”
(SächsHSFG) [*saxonian law for the freedom of universities*].

Applicants must comply with the prerequisites for employment according to
§71 SächsHSFG. Technische Universität Chemnitz strives towards particular
support for women and therefore insistently asks qualified women to apply.

favoured.
