Dear IEEE VIS Members

I am writing to let you know about an excellent opportunity that has arisen for a Programme Leader in the Digital Design Studio at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) . I am working with Glasgow School of Art on the recruitment to this position. The details can be accessed at www.gsa.ac.uk/jobs<http://www.gsa.ac.uk/jobs> but for convenience I am attaching the advertisement and the Job Description/Person Specification.

You will see that GSA are looking for a Programme Leader to provide academic leadership to oversee all aspects of the academic content, planning, management and operation of the programmes and pathways offered by the Digital Design Studio. This will include developing and leading the delivery and assessment for a range of modules including games programming, interactive heritage visualisation, volumetric visualisation, motion capture and 3D data acquisition & processing.

A solid understanding is required of computer graphics, 3D visualisation and games development. An understanding of games programming and previous game development experience using Visual Studio and C++/C# is essential. Experience with XNA Game Studio, Kinect for Windows SDK, and at least one commercial game engine (e.g. Unity, UDK) is desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team with outstanding, state of the art, facilities located in the digital media quarter in Glasgow. Among the current projects of the Digital Design Studio is the work for Scottish Ten (see http://www.scottishten.org/), scanning in ten of the world's heritage sites. There is a very exciting, friendly and collaborative atmosphere with a focus on real, tangible problems.

I do hope that you will be interested in exploring further this exciting opportunity. If you would like to discuss the role, then please let me know and I shall be pleased to contact you and arrange to talk to you.

With kind regards

Imogen
