The Imaging and Computer Vision Technology Field of Siemens Corporate Technology has an immediate opening in Princeton, NJ for a full-time Research Scientist - Large Data Visualization position. Ideal candidates will have in-depth knowledge of high performance large data/ image visualization, scientific  and computer graphics architectures with strong software development skills.

CT is one of the world's premier research labs for computer vision and imaging.

What are my responsibilities?
* Perform translational research and development in the area of high performance large 2D/3D/nD image/point cloud/surface/vector/tensor visualization.
* Perform translational research and development in the area of large data remote visualization and computing architecture.
* Implement high quality working solutions for commercial, scientific or industrial applications.
* Quick prototyping, feasibility studies, specifications and implementation of software components, present high quality presentations about the outcome to internal and external audience
* Innovate state-of-the-art computer graphics techniques to and also be active in publications

What skills are needed to qualify for this job?
* PhD in Computer Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline.
* Proven record in advanced visualization techniques.
* Strong experience in hands-on software architecture and implementation.
* Ability to develop new research ideas to the level of a working system prototype.
* Ability to quickly prototype in C/C++/Java and translate implementation to robust product components
* Advanced CPU/GPU programming (OpenCL, CUDA, OpenGL, OpenGL ES, WebGL) and optimization experience is a must.
* Multi-platform visualization deployment experience a plus
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and can do attitude.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Willing to accept challenges and responsibilities.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team.
* Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
