[Ieee_vis] Reminder: MedVis Award 2026 -- Deadline, May 4

Dear colleagues,

This is a reminder that the deadline for the 2026 Karl-Heinz-Höhne Award
(also known as the MedVis Award) is

*** Monday, May 4, 2026 ***.

The award aims to recognize outstanding contributions to the area of
visualization for medicine and biology by early-career researchers,
highlighting innovative work with clear relevance to biomedical
applications. It is presented by the working group on Visual Computing in
Biology and Medicine of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI).

The prize is endowed with €1,000 (sponsored by Brainlab AG) and may be
shared among multiple awardees.

Eligible applicants include junior researchers, such as students, recent
graduates, and PhD candidates who have not defended their thesis before the
deadline, with work completed or published on or after June 1, 2023.
Submissions may consist of up to two publications or a Master’s thesis,
together with the required questionnaire and a meaningful image for
promotional purposes.
