A full-day workshop held on a boat in the Venice Lagoon, exploring the
connection with natural spaces, a theme of great interest not only for
improving the awareness about the importance of natural spaces that
surround us, but also for their demonstrated benefits for physical and
mental health.
Digital tools can play an important role in fostering connection with
natural spaces by informing, stimulating, or facilitating immersive
experiences.
The journey will be an opportunity to discuss these issues and explore the
related design space through activities inspired by the most naturalistic
part of the Venice Lagoon. The field trip will be supported by a marine
ecologist who will introduce you to the aquatic environment and its
connections with humans and other living beings inhabiting the Lagoon, to
inspire your work.

The workshop is organized as a full-day activity, hosted on
a hybrid boat that will depart from San Servolo (the AVI 2026 conference
site https://www.unive.it/avi2026) in the morning and travel in the North
Lagoon. The return to San Servolo is scheduled for the afternoon.
