In the context of the annual European Conference on Acoustics and Noise Control Engineering, a session will be held on Audio-Visual Analytics, i.e., the combination of visualization and sonification. This session continues a stream of workshops and events that was held both in the visualization community (e.g., IEEE VIS) as well as the sonification community (e.g., ACM Audio Mostly) with the aim of fostering exchange and bringing both communities together. We invite you to submit your work to:

A19.05 Sonification and visualization for acoustics
(see https://forum-acusticum.org/fa2026/index.php/areas/)

We invite submissions on sonification and visualization of acoustical phenomena and, more broadly, of dynamic systems. We welcome studies on the perceptualization of scientific domains that investigate acoustic systems (e.g. room acoustics, vibration analysis and more), including audio in augmented reality. Additionally, we encourage sonifications that produce acoustic representations of dynamic phenomena (e.g. seismic activity, stethoscope and physiological signals, astronomical data and more). Submissions may include prototypical data displays and software tools focused on exploration, analysis or didactics, targeting general audiences (e.g. acoustics and dynamic systems education, musical instrument learning) as well as specific user groups (e.g. sonifications for blind and visually impaired users such as echolocation; visualizations for deaf and hard-of-hearing users such as visual prosody or enhanced spectrograms).

• Full-paper deadline: 31 March 2026
• Title/abstract deadline: 30 April 2026 (no full peer review)

The Forum Acusticum conference will be held Sept 8-12 in Graz, Austria.
