BioVis 2026 Call for Abstracts

Dear colleagues,


We invite you to submit abstracts (for talks and/or posters) to

BioVis at ISMB/ECCB 2026, a one-day symposium on biological data

visualization.


Date: July 16, 2026 | Washington, DC, USA


BioVis brings together researchers from visualization, bioinformatics,

and biology to share and advance the state of the art in visualizing

complex biological data — from molecules to populations.

SUBMISSION TYPES

** TALKS (deadline: April 9, 2026 AoE) **


  - Published work:

    250-word abstract + copy of paper (or link if open access)


  - Unpublished work:

    Extended abstract up to 1,500 words with figures


** POSTERS & DEMOS (deadline: April 9, 2026 AoE) **


  - 250-word abstract + one supporting figure

  - Present preliminary results, works in progress, visualization

    challenges, or previously published work

  - A selection of posters will be invited for a short talk

  - Late submissions accepted until May 7, 2026
