[Ieee_vis] 3rd AVAC Meet-Up on 25th of May

Dear list members,

I’m happy to invite you to our 3rd virtual AVAC Meet-Up on upcoming Wednesday 25th of May at 6 - 8 pm CEST (Vienna). The Audio-Visual Analytics Community (AVAC) is a young international community, interested in the combination of visualization and sonification. The AVAC Meet-Up is a regular virtual and informal meeting of our young community, to discuss ideas and projects. Details can be found here: https://audio-visual-analytics.github.io/meetups.html


Program:
We scheduled two blocks of about 15-minute presentations and 45 minutes for questions and discussions.

- Iason Svoronos-Kanavas (Ionian University & Linköping University) will talk about his paper “An exploratory use of audiovisual displays on oceanographic data” (https://zenodo.org/record/6555839)

- Sara Lenzi and Paolo Ciuccarelli (Center for Design, Northeastern University, USA) will talk about their research combining sonification and visualization. (https://www.saralenzi.com & https://camd.northeastern.edu/faculty/paolo-ciuccarelli/)
