Registration is now open for IEEE VisWeek 2011, but note that early  
registration (by September 16th) has reduced rates.  VisWeek 2011 is  
the premier forum for visualization advances for academia, government,  
and industry, bringing together researchers and practitioners with a  
shared interest in tools, techniques, technology and theory. The  
conferences and symposium will include an informative collection of  
workshops, tutorials, papers, panels, demonstrations, posters, and  
exhibitions. The week offers a great opportunity to make new  
connections and meet old friends who share an interest in tools,  
techniques, and technology.

We invite you to join us in Providence, RI for IEEE Visualization,  
IEEE Information Visualization, and IEEE Visual Analytics Science and  
Technology, along with the co-located symposia on Large-Scale Data  
Analysis and Visualization, and on Biological Data Visualization.  
VisWeek 2011 Keynote Speaker will be Professor Paul Thagard, from  
University of Waterloo. His talk will be Visual Thinking in Discovery  
and Invention: From Physics to Cognitive Social Science. Amanda Cox,  
from the New York Times Graphics Department, will be the Capstone  
Speaker. The week will also include over 150 research paper  
presentations, research posters, and an art show.

The beautiful city of Providence, RI, is the capital city of the  
smallest state in the country, but packed with exciting entertainment,  
shopping and "exciting walking, entertainment, and dining options"  
food options. A lively downtown area just steps away from the  
conference hotel, a multi-cultural mix of many award-winning  
restaurants in several neighbourhoods all in walking distance, a  
wonderful and elaborate river-walk area for relaxing, and a vibrant  
art-scene, are all settled among scores of immaculately preserved  
homes from the Colonial, Federal, Greek Revival, and Victorian eras.
