VisWeek 2011 is the premier forum for visualization advances for academia, government, and industry, bringing together researchers and practitioners with a shared interest in tools, techniques, technology and theory. The conferences and symposium will include an informative collection of workshops, tutorials, papers, panels, demonstrations, posters, and exhibitions. The week offers a great opportunity to make new connections and meet old friends who share an interest in tools, techniques, and technology.</div><div><br></div><div>We invite you to join us in Providence, RI for IEEE Visualization, IEEE Information Visualization, and IEEE Visual Analytics Science and Technology, along with the co-located symposia on Large-Scale Data Analysis and Visualization, and on Biological Data Visualization. VisWeek 2011 <b>Keynote Speaker will be Professor Paul Thagard</b>, from University of Waterloo. His talk will be Visual Thinking in Discovery and Invention: From Physics to Cognitive Social Science. <b>Amanda Cox</b>, from the New York Times Graphics Department, <b>will be the Capstone Speake</b>r. The week will also include over 150 research paper presentations, research posters, and an art show.</div><div><br></div><div>The beautiful city of <b>Providence, RI,</b> is the capital city of the smallest state in the country, but packed with exciting entertainment, shopping and "exciting walking, entertainment, and dining options" food options.
