Research Assistant/Associate/Fellow in Targeted Proteolysis in the laboratory of Prof. Michael Holdsworth, University of Nottingham (University web site containing more information about the position is

The successful candidate will use biochemical genetics, biochemistry and physiology to define the role of the N-end rule pathway for targeted proteolysis in the regulation of plant growth and development (for recent work in the lab see Abbas et al. Current Biology (2015), 25: 
1483–1488; Gibbs et al Molecular Cell (2014) 53; 369-379, and Gibbs et al. (2011) Nature 479, 415–418).

Salary
£25769 to £37768 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum
£28982 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Fixed-term
Applications are invited for the above post based in the School of Biosciences at Sutton Bonington Campus.

Candidates should have BSc or equivalent in any area of biology. For Research Associate/Fellow must have PhD in plant molecular biology including work on biochemistry, physiology, bioinformatics and cell biology (or PhD near to completion) .  Experience of plant biochemistry, bioinformatics and genetics will be particularly advantageous.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending on 15 March 2018.
