DIGITAL LITERARY ANNOTATION NEWSLETTER NO. 57 (JUNE 2021)

-------------------------

TEASYS – NEWS

21 students in total are currently working on different annotations in
the context of the peer-learning project. The annotations are written
based on TEASys[1], which was developed to provide annotators with a
standardised set of guidelines for digital annotations. TEASys helps
students to structure their annotations in a meaningful and efficient
way, and it enables readers to quickly find information that is
relevant to them.

The Annotating Literature student groups will continue to meet online
during the summer term. We're always looking for new participants and
if you are interested or would like to come to one of the introductory
meetings, feel free to contact our mentors via email[2] or check out
our website[3].

-------------------------

AND DID YOU KNOW THAT …

… a new set of annotations for Dickens’s /The Chimes/ is just about to
be added to the compilation of existing annotations? If you are
interested to learn what Hercules has to do with /The Chimes/, be on
the lookout! To explore other annotations written in the context of
the project, click here[4]!

-------------------------

The Annotated Web Edition Directory[5] is looking forward to your
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on
our webpage. We thank you for your help.
