TEASYS – NEWS
Next semester, Angelika Zirker (Humboldt University Berlin) as well as
Matthias Bauer and Miriam Lahrsow (both Tübingen University) will
offer a seminar on “Digital Methods in Literary Studies” at their
respective universities. Furthermore, Leonie Kirchhoff (Universität
Tübingen) will offer a seminar on “Learning to Read Shakespeare” in
the course of which students will collaboratively annotate key scenes
of three Shakespeare plays (/Macbeth/, /Romeo and Juliet/, /The Merry
Wives of Windsor/).

The Annotated Web Edition Directory is looking forward to your
suggestions. We are always on the look-out for new entries to add to
the list. Feel free to recommend literary digital editions that
include explanatory annotation (of the social or the editorial kind),
web platforms, tools and applications that enable the user to
(collaboratively) annotate texts. Please use the corresponding form on
our webpage. We thank you for your help.

CALLS FOR PAPERS/ UPCOMING EVENTS
The Shared Task on the Analysis of Narrative Levels Through
Annotation[1] (SANTA) is open to everyone interested in the
/collaborative creation of annotation guidelines./
Registration for the conference Inverted Classroom and beyond[2]
(20-21 February 2018, St. Pölten, Austria) is NOW OPEN.
Poster and workshop proposals for the DH_Budapest_2018[3] (27–31 May
2018) are due JANUARY 30.
Proposals are due JANUARY 31 for the Digital Research in the
Humanities and Arts Conference[4] (Fondazzjoni Kreattività, Malta, 9 -
12 September 2018).
Proposals are due FEBRUARY 1 for the Digital Humanities Benelux
2018[5] (6 - 8 June 2018, Amsterdam).
Submissions are due FEBRUARY 12 for Critical Digital and Social Media
Studies [6]book series (University of Westminster Press).
Submissions are due FEBRUARY 19 for Digital Research in Early
America [7](WMQ-University of California, Irvine, 11 - 12 October 2018).
Submissions are due MARCH 11 for the International Symposium on the
Future of Education in Information Science[8] (Pisa, 10-11 September
2018).
Submissions are due MARCH 12 for PMLA's Varieties of Digital Humanities[9].
The Digital Pedagogy Lab 2018[10], will take place in Fredericksburg,
VA from July 30 – August 3. Registration will open in late JANUARY 2018.

JOBS/SCHOLARSHIPS
The Centre of Excellence in “Ancient Near Eastern Empires” (ANEE) at
the University of Helsinki, Finland, is offering doctoral research
positions[11]. The deadline is on 31 JANUARY.
The Research Training Group “Ambiguity” at Universität Tübingen,
Germany, offers one Post-Doc Research Position[12]. The deadline is on
12 FEBRUARY.
The Hessisches Staatsarchiv Marburg, Germany, is searching for a head
of division[13] specialising in digitalisation. The deadline is on 16
FEBRUARY.
The Institut für Deutsche Sprache (Mannheim, Germany) is searching for
a research fellow[14] specialising in the field of oral corpora. The
deadline is on 16 MARCH.
