Dear all,

the Visualization and Visual Analytics Group at University of Cologne is 
currently looking for candidates for two positions. Start is as soon as 
possible.

1. We are currently looking for a postdoctoral researcher or PhD 
candidate for a position that includes teaching and research 
responsibilities. Teaching particularly includes planning and 
supervising exercises in our courses.  Research responsibilities, i.e., 
advancing the group's research and for postdocs also supporting PhD 
candidates, within the scope of the research portfolio of the group 
(information visualization, visual analytics, AI4Vis, Vis4AI, 
perception-based studies). This is a full-time position that is 
compensated according to the standard TVL collective agreement (E13). 
Start is as soon as possible.

2. We are currently looking to fill an open project-funded position 
(postdoctoral researcher or PhD candidate) as part of the WarmWorld 
project. Work focus lies in the visual comparison of climate model and 
observational data. This includes the development and evaluation of 
perception-driven interactive visualizations, progressive VA approaches 
or HPC-based large scale visualizations to support comparative analysis 
from multiple perspectives and to effectively communicate associated 
uncertainties.   It is compensated according to the standard TVL 
collective agreement (E13) and temporary until 28.02.2027. Start is as 
soon as possible.
