[Ieee_vis_open_positions] [EIC STACK] Two PhD Scholarships in Applied Mathematics at DTU Compute

Dear colleagues,

DTU Compute<https://www.compute.dtu.dk/english/> is offering two PhD scholarships in applied mathematics under our upcoming collaborative Horizon Europe project STACK.

We seek two ambitious and highly motivated PhD candidates with a strong background in mathematics and an interest in developing new geometric concepts and algorithms for potential applications in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sector.

The positions will be co-supervised by David Brander<http://davidbrander.org/> and me.

STACK is an EIC Pathfinder Challenge project that aims to pioneer a mathematical framework and develop computational design tools for freeform surface stackability, complemented by 3D elastica theory, for potential applications in advanced digital fabrication workflows. STACK is a partnership between SINTEF<https://www.sintef.no/en/>, the Technical University of Denmark<https://www.dtu.dk/english/>, and Zaha Hadid Architects<https://www.zaha-hadid.com/>.
