The Bio-inspired Computer Vision research group (Prof. Dr. Gunther
Heidemann) of the institute of Cognitive Science in the School of Human
Sciences is seeking to appoint a
*Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(Salary level E 13 TV-L, 75 %)*
to commence work as soon as possible for an initial period of 3 years.
The Bio-inspired Computer Vision Group conducts research mainly in the
fields of:
* Visual learning for still images and video data
* Deep Learning algorithms for Computer Vision
* Cognitively motivated vision architectures
* Applications in biomedical imaging
* 3D-Vision
* Auditory Display/Sonification of visual data
*Your Duties:*
* The successful candidate will be involved in several research
projects and may supervise B.Sc. and M.Sc. projects
* The position involves teaching Cognitive Science courses at B.Sc.
and M.Sc. level (3 hours/week)
* The position allows for further scientific qualification (Ph.D.,
alternatively the German doctorate degree, or habilitation)
*Requirements:*
* An excellent academic degree (Master/Diploma) and knowledge in at
least one of the fields listed above
* Good programming skills
* A very good command of the English language
