Graduate Project Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree) for a
30-hour/week, two-year position at the Institute of Computer Graphics (with option for extension)

Job Duties:
•	Collaboration in an exciting basic research project, funded by the Austrian Science Funds (FWF) and the German Research Foundations (DFG), in cooperation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. Basic project-details: https://github.com/JKU-ICG/AOS/
•	Possibility for obtaining a PhD
•	Research, development, and field experiments on applying drone swarms for detecting and tracking moving objects (e.g., people, animals, vehicles) in strongly occluding forests
•	Planning and execution of field experiments together with DLR and OGU
•	Research- and Development collaboration with project teams at DLR and OGU
•	Publication of scientific results
Your Qualifications:
•	The successful candidate must hold a Diploma/Master’s degree in a corresponding discipline (computer science, mathematics, engineering or related) or have equivalent qualifications
•	Expertise in one or multiple of the following areas: Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image Processing, Robotics
•	Excellent programming skills in Python and C++
•	Willingness and ability to work in a team
•	Strong command of English
