Our Team at the Graphics and Vision group at Trinity College, are looking to hire  a Postdoc or Research assistant to join us in the new year, to research techniques for Semantic Understanding of Volumetric Video.

The candidate should ideally have recently graduated with a PhD, or have had at least 4 years of experience after Masters or Bachelors degree, in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, with some experience of Computer Graphics.

The work will involve research in Computer Vision, AI and Graphics techniques to allow better usage and integration of Volumetric Video content in future Extended Reality (XR) experiences and applications. A primary focus will be in achieving temporal consistency in volumetric video through geometry tracking, correspondence estimation, automated rigging, semantic 3D segmentation and understanding of 3D geometry in volumetric video.

In addition, the postdoctoral researcher will collaborate with the multidisciplinary partners in the TRANSMIXR EU Project consortium [https://transmixr.eu/], contributing technical efforts towards the extended project activities including, the design of Extended Reality Media Collaborative Creation and Experience Environment that will enable story creators to collaborate in a distributed manner, allowing them to interact, manipulate, and combine content to produce novel XR media experiences.
