Software Developer (with JavaScript Proficiency)
Indiana University's Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center (CNS, https://cns.iu.edu) is looking for a full-time software developer to become an integral member of a professional development team. Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of visualizations, datasets, tools, and services in the study of scholarly, social, biomedical, and other networks. You will be advancing research on the structure and evolution of science and technology, and developing innovative ways to communicate results via static and interactive maps of science. Your skills will implement the next generation of visualizations and the tech to run them.

Qualifications

  *   At least 1 year of professional experience with modern JavaScript technology. Preference for experience in TypeScript, Angular, D3, or Vega.
  *   Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM workflow
  *   Experience with CSS and a compiler like SCSS
  *   Experience in cross-disciplinary teams and strong collaboration skills
  *   A can-do work ethic

Senior Software Developer (with JavaScript Mastery)

Indiana University's Cyberinfrastructure for Network Science Center (CNS, https://cns.iu.edu) is looking for a full-time senior software developer to become an integral member of a professional development team. Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of visualizations, datasets, tools, and services in the study of scholarly, social, biomedical, and other networks. You will be advancing research on the structure and evolution of science and technology, and developing innovative ways to communicate results via static and interactive maps of science. Your skills will implement the next generation of visualizations and the tech to run them.


In addition to software development, you will gather and refine requirements for a limited number of projects, lead development sprints, and help train junior programmers and graduate students. You will be interacting with a wide variety of people, so excellent communication skills are a must.
