I am looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work with my group at the
University of British Columbia in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada.

The postdoc will be working on a project that sits in the area of
improving understanding and exploration of (mostly relational) data,
potentially including its provenance and data integrated from multiple
sources. The exact project will be determined based on the strengths
and interests of the postdoc. The postdoc must have a PhD in computer
science or closely related area by the time the postdoc starts. The
ideal candidate will have some background in data provenance, data
exploration, data mining, data summarization, data integration, and/or
data visualization.

There is no teaching required for the position, however, it is likely
possible to arrange for teaching if the successful candidate would be
interested in it.

The position is for one year and can be extended for an additional
year by mutual consent.

Applications must include a CV and the names and addresses of at
least two references. Applications or questions should be sent via
email to rap at cs.ubc.ca.

Reviewing of applications will begin immediately and continue until
the position is filled. There's no set start time; I'd rather wait for
the right candidate than fill the slot now with someone who isn't a
good fit.

Cheers,
Rachel
