[Ieee_vis_open_positions] infoviz postdoc at UC Berkeley starting mid-August

The School of Information at UC Berkeley has available a position for a
postdoctoral scholar in Information Visualization, beginning no later than
mid-August, 2017.

The position consists of time committed to both research and teaching.
The postdoctoral scholar teaches 2 to 3 sections on an online course each
trimester; the material has already been developed.  Salary and benefits
are competitive.

Ideal candidates do excellent research  in data visualization while at the
same time having a mix of practical visualization skills and design theory
background.   This position provides an opportunity to collaborate with
researchers in information visualization, user interface research, and data
science at UC Berkeley while at the same time acquiring experience
 teaching information visualization to data scientists.
