---- PhD student in Computer Graphics and Visualization
---- Exploration of vector fields visualization and representation using
Radial Basis Functions (RBF) Approximation

at the University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Dept. of
Computer Science and Engineering
Plzen (Pilsen - the city of beer), Czech Republic

---

The aim of the research is to develop new approaches/methods for RBF
approximation of vector fields (e.g. in fluid mechanics etc.) to
represent acquired measured data or data from simulation. The ultimate
goal is to make a precise large scale vector fields (fluids etc.)
visualization.

The "standard" length of PhD study is 4 years. Publications in relevant
research journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus are strongly expected.

Applicant is expected to join the RBF research group
http://meshfree.zcu.cz/, a part of the Computer Graphics and
Visualization Center http://Graphics.zcu.cz

It is also expected that PhD student will take active role in research
conferences organized, namely WSCG - http://www.wscg.eu

Application: May 15, 2017 (not strict)
European Union citizenship is an advantage, but no compulsory.
