Novel Interaction Models for Multi-surface Visualization

in the Visualisation & Advanced Interaction group at Télécom ParisTech


We are currently seeking outstanding candidates to pursue a Ph.D. in human-computer interaction and information visualization in the context multi-surface environments.  Multi-surface environments are information-rich interaction spaces that may comprise a wall-sized display interconnected with interactive tabletops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones. The Ph.D. student will explore and develop new models of interaction and associated software infrastructure for the rapid creation of fluid multi-surface applications.  He or she will derive new insights for the use of multi-surface environments in the visual analytics process.


Requirements
Applicants should have:

a Master’s degree or equivalent in human-computer interaction, computer science, information visualization, or a related discipline.
experience with some or all of the following: mastery of computer science fundamentals and sound development skills; user-centered design; designing information visualizations.
mastery of written and spoken English
