PhD Positions: Visualization of Healthcare Workflows
TU Eindhoven, The Netherlands
The Visualization group of the Department of Mathematics and Computer
Science of TU Eindhoven has two vacancies for a 4 year full-time PhD
research position. The vacancies are within the project Optimizing
Healthcare Workflows, in which Philips Research, the AIS group of
prof. Wil van der Aalst (world leading expert in process mining), and the
Visualization group cooperate. The aim of the project is to develop
new methods and techniques to analyze and improve workflows in healthcare,
especially for radiology and pathology.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- a Master degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely
related discipline;
- a strong interest in visual analytics, information visualization,
human computer interaction, and workflow analysis;
- excellent analytic, creative, and implementation skills;
- ability to work in a team, cooperate both with academic and industrial
partners;
- fluent in spoken and written English.
Appointment and salary:
We offer:
- a full-time temporary appointment for a period of 4 years, with an
intermediate evaluation after 9 months;
- a gross salary of 2,083 euro per month in the first year increasing
up to 2,664 euro per month in the fourth year;
- a holiday allowance of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% (annually)
