*** Call for Participation ***
We invite applications from PhD students and PostDocs across all fields to participate in the Danish Data Visualization Workshop on 5-6 NOV 2026 in Aarhus, DK. Participation incl. accommodation is free, but seats are limited.
In this two day workshop, participants will learn how to translate and communicate research data through visual design, apply data visualization techniques to identify patterns, trends and outliers and use visualization to support data-driven insights and decision-making – making it easier for them and other scientists to understand and learn from the data.
Highlights from the workshop program:
*
Keynote: Associate Professor Stefanie Zollmann, Aarhus University on "Visualization — From Simple Charts to Immersive Experiences"
*
Interactive lectures on DataVis Fundamentals
*
>From basic Color and Chart Design Exercises all the way to the 5 Design Sheet Method
*
Capstone: Professor Stefan Jänicke, University of Southern Denmark on "Data Visualization for the Humanities"
During the two days, participants will also have the opportunity to network with fellow researchers, get to know the other course participants and network with them and the speakers through dinner and social activities.
