🚀 SciFi-VIS 2026 — Call for Participation

Way Out There: How SciFi and Visualization Influence Each Other — a 
half-day hybrid workshop at IEEE VIS 2026 exploring the two-way 
relationship between science fiction and data visualization: how 
speculative ideas inspire research, and how visualization shapes our 
imagined futures. Expect a keynote, lightning talks, and 
cross-disciplinary discussions.

Submit a short/position paper (~1000 words) or a more flexible format 
like a poster, demo, or SciFi scene analysis. Work-in-progress ideas are 
welcome, and the workshop is non-archival.

🗓️ Submit: July 30, 2026 (AoE)
✅ Notification: Sept 15, 2026
📄 Camera-ready: Sept 21, 2026
