Dear fellow researchers,
We are pleased to invite you to contribute to our upcoming Special Issue of
the Journal of Flow Visualization and Image Processing (JFVIP), "*AI-Powered
Biomedical Computation and Flow Visualization*."
The submission deadline is now *ex*t*ended to November 30, 2025*.
*If you are interested but need additional time, or are concerned about the
scope or theme of your work, please feel free to let us know. * In such
cases, we encourage you to submit a brief abstract by the submission
deadline so we can advise on suitability and timing.
Topics include but not limited to:
- Machine learning and deep learning methods for biomedical imaging and
diagnosis
- Visualization of blood flow, respiratory patterns, tumor perfusion,
Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI), and other physiological fluid systems from
experiments and simulations, with an emphasis on data analysis
- High-dimensional data analysis in neuroscience and cardiovascular
imaging
- Feature extraction and image segmentation using AI and evolutionary
computation
- Optimization methods for diagnostic workflows and medical
decision-making
- Data-driven modeling and analysis of biological systems
- Explainable AI in biomedical imaging and healthcare diagnostics
- AI-powered and AI-assisted visualization of data derived from
computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and numerical weather
prediction (NWP) models, encompassing wind and air flows, ocean currents,
combustion phenomena, and related processes
- Domain-knowledge-driven medical image analysis
*Tutorial-style articles* that guide readers into the related fields and
practices, and *shorter or preliminary contributions *that state a clear
contribution and avenues for subsequent work, are also welcome.
Authors can expect a decision approximately two months after submission.
Manuscripts should be submitted via the following website:

Detailed submission guidelines and additional information are provided in
the attached documents. We look forward to your submission.
Warm regards,
