IEEE SciVis Contest 2021

Submission deadline: July 31, 2021

The SciVis contest is an annual event providing scientific datasets for visualization and data analysis. This year a dataset describing convection processes in the Earth's mantle is provided. The data from these simulations create an opportunity for visualization researchers to apply their techniques and deliver visually stunning and informative imagery to provide domain specialists with a deeper understanding of their data. Participants will be rewarded for creating an animation showing the time evolution of the simulation and illustrating the visualization techniques used.

The winning submission will be awarded with the opportunity of a full journal article. All approved submissions will be able to present their work as a short talk and during the poster session at IEEE Vis 2021 (October 23-28, 2021, to be held virtually using video conferencing).
