We are excited to announce the call for papers for the 2nd Workshop on Energy Data Visualization, to be held in conjunction with the ACM e-Energy Conference 2021 in June. We are accepting Short papers, up to 4 pages in 9-point ACM double-column format (i.e., excluding references) and an unlimited number of pages for appendices and references, for single-blind peer-review. The workshop proceedings will appear in the ACM Digital Library.

Papers should be submitted through https://energyvisii-2021.hotcrp.com<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fenergyvisii-2021.hotcrp.com%2F&data=04%7C01%7CKenny.Gruchalla%40nrel.gov%7Cc6b1ccec16c04d634b7008d8d7528671%7Ca0f29d7e28cd4f5484427885aee7c080%7C0%7C0%7C637496096799210976%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=RvUJx2mqsY2QEYqtckvZUqtCcv8ULOWxeY5IciI9M2Y%3D&reserved=0>

With this emerging workshop series, we aim to bring together scientists, researchers, and practitioners to showcase novel and innovative solutions and discuss the many open visualization challenges, and goals in the field. We invite innovative ideas, design concepts, requirement analysis and work-in-progress relating to the following technical scope:

  * Energy visualization contexts smart cities/homes/buildings/grid, network visualizations, energy policy and governance, net-zero initiatives, energy consumers and analysis, energy markets, microgrids
  * Energy visualization challenges uncertainty visualization, spatio-temporal visualization, large network visualization, micro/macro scale, automated model comprehension
  * Disruptive technologies open source, open analytics and open workflows, machine learning, AI, VR/XR, tangible interfaces,
  * Data concepts big data, real-time data challenges, open data portals, open standards, forecasting and predictions, quantified self, citizen science
  * Human interaction & user-centric design co-creation design methods, visualization for decision support and decision making, evaluation methods, stakeholder- & requirement analysis, visualizations for experts vs. general public, energy games and gamification

The fully virtual event will involve talks, demos, guest speakers, and interactive group discussions. See the workshop website (https://energyvis.org) for further information and paper submission details. We look forward to your participation!
