REMINDER: June 30, 2020 is the deadline for nominations

*Call for Nominations for the IEEE Visualization Academy 20**20*

As the IEEE Visualization Academy Selection Committee (VASC), we invite
nominations for the 2020 IEEE Visualization Academy inductees. The
inductees will be announced and inducted into The IEEE Visualization
Academy in the opening session of the 2020 VIS Conference.

The IEEE Visualization Academy was established in 2018 by the VGTC. Every
year 3-5 new members will be inducted into The Visualization Academy and
this call is for nominations for new members. Induction into The
Visualization Academy is the highest and most prestigious honor in the
field of visualization. The criteria for election to The Visualization
Academy are:

§ Cumulative and momentous contributions to visualization research and/or
development

§ Broader influence on the visualization field, the community, and on the
work of others

§ Significant service and/or active participation in the visualization
community

Nominees may include visualization leading scholars
(researchers/practitioners) who satisfy these election criteria. Past and
present awardees of the VGTC visualization technical awards will also be
considered. *Since diversity and inclusion is of a high priority, we
especially encourage nominations of women and individuals from
underrepresented groups.*

Nominations may be brief and should include a convincing description of
pivotal contributions to visualization, explanation of how the nominee
meets the election criteria, nominee name, affiliation, email, phone,
website page, Wikipedia page, link to their CV (if available). Nominations
should be sent to Arie Kaufman: ari at cs.stonybrook.edu by *June 30, 20**20*.
