******* Abstract due: January 17, 2020 *******
******* Full submission due: January 24, 2020 *******
Our society has entered a data-driven era, in which not only enormous
amounts of data are being generated every day, but also growing
expectations are placed on their analysis. Analyzing these massive and
complex datasets is a difficult task which is even more challenging with
network data.
Network data are intrinsically relational data between entities with or
without a spatial mapping. Exploring such data is already challenging
with small dataset and becomes even far harder with complex dense graphs
often called “hair balls”.
Information Visualization provides the research background to support
such data exploration and is an active research area.
Furthermore, emerging technology like immersive and mixed realty
environment opens new promising opportunities to leverage user ability
to support decision making with complex data.
Papers must provide original contributions to the emerging Immersive
Analytics fields which encompasses but not limited to the following topics:
- immersive data visualization,
- complex network visualization and understanding,
- network layout for immersive visualization,
- immersive prototyping techniques,
- immersive analytics interaction tools,
- evaluation, 2D vs 3D perception,
- hybrid environment for immersive analytics,
- immersive analytics framework,
- immersive analytics use cases.
Papers will be published in a special issue of the Visual Informatics
Elsevier journal (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/visual-informatics)
Authors can also present their accepted paper at the special Immersive
Analyticfs session during PacificVIS 2020 (http://vis.tju.edu.cn/pvis2020/)
