Please join me in congratulating Dr. James Ahrens of Los Alamos National
Laboratory (LANL) on being elected the new VGTC Chair.

Jim has been active in the VGTC community for 20 years, having served on
major service roles. Among his many technical contributions, Jim is the
founder and design lead of ParaView, a tool that is used widely in the
community.

Dear VGTC Nominations Committee,

The polls for the VGTC Chair Election have closed, and the votes have been
tallied.

The results of the Chair election are:
James Ahrens has been elected TC Chair with 62.7% of the total votes.
Douglas Bowman received 37.3% of the total votes.
There were no write-in candidates.

I will notify the candidates tomorrow and the VGTC membership on Friday.
