[Ieee_vis] MedVis Award 2018 Second Call

Dear visualization and image processing experts,



This is to remind you, that submissions for the 8th Karl-Heinz-Höhne Award will
be due next week, February 12th 2018. The award recognizes outstanding work
in the area of visual computing with applications in biology and medicine.



Besides 'glory and honor', the top winners of this biannual  competition
will receive in total 1.000 EUR, donated by the BrainLAB AG.



The price will be awarded by the working group “Visual Computing in Biology
and Medicine” of the German society for computer science (“Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI”) during the  Workshop for Visual Computing
in Biology and Medicine (VCBM), April, 12 2018, in Ulm, Germany.



Please submit innovative results focusing on visualization or user
interaction with a clear application in biology and medicine.

Applicants should not have defended their doctoral thesis before the
submission deadline. Students or graduates with a diploma/master or even an
outstanding bachelor thesis, completed after the previous Award submission
deadline (April 2016), or with up to two publications (published or to be
reviewed) in this area are also invited to submit their work.

participate!
