Dear colleagues,

following a successful workshop at the AGILE 2016 conference on “Visually-supported Computational Movement Analysis (VCMA2016)” (http://viz.icaci.org/vcma2016/) we are organising a special issue of the Information Visualization journal on the topic of "Visual Movement Analytics". This is an open call for papers (i.e. not limited to workshop participants) and we welcome contributions from anyone interested in this topic.

In particular, we are interested in computational analytical techniques for movement data, supported by interactive visualisations. Contributions can be in any application area (movement ecology, human mobility, transportation, etc.) and use any type of movement data.

For more info on specific topics and submission procedure, see here:
http://viz.icaci.org/vcma2016/special-issue-on-visual-movement-analytics/

Papers should be formatted according to the instructions of the Information Visualisation journal and submitted through the journal webpage: http://ivi.sagepub.com/

DL for submission is 31 Jan 2017, however, we would appreciate a notification of intent by 15 Jan 2017.

We would also appreciate if you could, please, forward this call for papers widely.

Best regards,
Urska Demsar, Aidan Slingsby and Rob Weibel
