AVI2016 Posters and Demos - call for papers
======================================================================
Since 1992, AVI has been a biannual appointment for a wide international
community of experts with a broad range of backgrounds. Throughout more
than two decades, the Conference has attracted leading researchers of
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from all over the world, offering a
forum to present and disseminate new technological results, new
paradigms, new visions for HCI and user interfaces. Because of advanced
technology and new possibilities for user interaction, AVI has broadened
the topics it covers, still keeping its main focus on the conception,
design, implementation and evaluation of novel visual interfaces. While
rooted in Italy, AVI is a true international conference with respect to
nationality of participants, authors of papers and program committee
members.
AVI 2016 offers a wide variety of submission types to suit many types of
interests and works. While the deadline for full and short research
papers already passed, there is still the possibility to submit poster
and demo papers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poster papers
The AVI 2016 Poster Track provides researchers and practitioners with
the opportunity of presenting their work-in-progress, obtaining precious
feedback from their peers, in an informal setting. The poster session
provides conference attendees with the chance of being aware of novel
and on-going research projects, whose preliminary results are already
interesting. Poster submissions must be up to 2 pages (not anonymized).
Accepted poster papers will be included in the Proceedings published by
ACM Press and will be available in the ACM Digital Library. Poster
authors are required to register for the conference and to bring a
poster to be displayed in a dedicated area; they are also required to
attend the dedicated poster session and to present their work there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Demo papers
A Demo for AVI2016 is something that can be shown in order to
demonstrate a completed or on-going research effort. We are looking for
(prototypical or full) implementations of novel and interesting concepts
or systems related to the main topics of AVI. Demo proposals (not
anonymized) must include a description of the demo (up to 2 pages) and a
separate page shortly describing the equipment used and the space
requirements or other special requirements (if any.) Accepted demo
papers will be included in the Proceedings published by ACM Press and
will be available in the ACM Digital Library. Demo authors are required
to register to the conference and present their demo during a dedicated
session. They are also required to bring the necessary equipment.
