[Ieee_vis] Seeking nominations for the 2013 VGTC Best Doctoral Dissertation Award

The IEEE Computer Society Visualization and Graphics Technical Committee (VGTC) has recently established the Best Doctoral Dissertation Award program to recognize outstanding academic research and development in visualization and visual analytics. The dissertations must address a topic relevant to visualization or visual analytics. The competition will be administrated by the IEEE VGTC Visualization Pioneers Group (VPG) under the auspices of VGTC. All English language dissertations that have been successfully defended between July 31, 2011 and July 31, 2013 are eligible for the 2013 competition. The winner of the award will be introduced at IEEE VIS 2013 and receive a monetary award of $500 provided by VGTC.
 
Deadline is soon: Nomination packets must be received by 5pm PDT on July 31, 2013 to qualify for the 2013 competition.
