Validation in Visualization

This year EuroVis will not only be accompanied by EuroVA but also by a
new workshop, the EuroRVVV: EuroVis Workshop on Reproducibility,
Verification, and Validation in Visualization. This workshop will
concentrate on recent and future developments related to the
reproducibility of newly developed visualization approaches, the
verification of visualization and data-processing systems, the
validation of visualization paradigms, and the effective incorporation
of all these aspects into visualizations.

The EuroRVVV is sponsored by EuroVis and the registration at either
EuroVis or EuroVA includes the entrance to EuroRVVV. See

*** PROGRAM

The program ( http://www.eurorvvv.org/program/ ) includes three
invited talks, two from the vis community and one from a cognitive
psychologist, in the early morning. The second session will be a panel
to discuss possibilities for establishing a “Badge of Honor” for
reproducibility with the community and a group of highly acknowledged
panelists.
