Call for Posters

 

The VINCI¡¯11 poster session offers a timely venue for researchers to
present their ongoing projects, discuss innovative ideas and new problems or
applications, and gain feedback from the community about their work. Authors
of posters will have a chance to give a short presentation at the poster
session to discuss their work and interact with the audience. The best
poster award will be granted at the end of the conference. 

 

Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to

*     Visual Analytics

*     Information visualization

*     Aesthetics in visual communication

*     Cognitive aspects of visual information comprehension

*     Graph drawing and visualization

*     Graphical user interface design

*     Influence of visual arts and design

*     Software visualization

*     Usability or empirical study of new visual metaphors

*     Visual approaches to knowledge discovery

*     Visual communication metaphors

*     Visual interaction through multi©\modality

*     Visual modeling languages and UML

*     Visual programming languages

*     Visualization on mobile devices

 

Submission Instructions

Authors must submit a two-page summary in the same PDF format as is required
for the VINCI 2011 papers. Submissions should be sent via email to the
Poster Chair (Yingcai Wu) at vinciposter2011 at gmail.com Authors will be
notified of poster acceptance/rejection by email in several days.

Information for Authors

Authors of accepted posters are required to bring a large hardcopy poster
for display. Posters have no predefined formatting, but the dimensions may
not exceed A0 paper size (841mm X 1189mm). Posters are not considered
archival publications and thus can have subsequent full papers submitted to
other conferences or journals.

Call for Participations

 

The 2011 Visual Information Communication - International Symposium
(VINCI'11) provides an international forum for researchers and industrial
practitioners to discuss the state of the art in visual communication
theories, designs, and applications. VINCI'11 will be held in Hong Kong
during Aug. 4 ¨C 5, 2011.
