Postdoctoral Position in Plant Cell Biology and Immunity

A three-year postdoctoral position in plant cell biology and immunity is available from 1st August 
2015 in the laboratory of Dr. Mike Deeks (Biosciences) and in close association with Prof. Christian 
Soeller (Physics) at the University of Exeter, UK.

The post will include molecular biology, affinity purification, live cell imaging using TIRF 
microscopy and other modalities. This project is in collaboration with Prof. Christian Soeller, an 
expert in the development of dSTORM and PALM super resolution approaches. Applicants must possess a 
relevant PhD (or be nearing completion) or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of 
study. We are particularly seeking a candidate with experience in cell and molecular biology, laser 
microscopy, plant science and affinity chromatography. Experience in bioimaging informatics, 
cross-disciplinary research and super resolution imaging would be beneficial.
