}</style>with this email, I would like to draw your attention (again) to
the excursion “<b>Postindustrial Landscapes</b>” which will take
place from <b>October 05 – 09, 2026</b>.</p>
<p>We will visit various sites in Central Germany (around the cities
of Leipzig and Halle) that have been heavily impacted by mining
and industrial activities, including former and active mining
areas, industrial sites, and research facilities. The vivid city
of Leipzig will serve as our base for the excursion.</p>
<p>The field seminar is held in English and is open to all study
programs (MSc preferred, BSc 4th semester and higher), and will be
guided by Prof. Holger Weiß (Helmholtz Center for Environmental
Research, Leipzig) and Dr. Carsten Leven (Uni TÜ). As Prof. Weiß
is retiring, it might be the last time that the excursion can be
offered.</p>
<p>More details on the excursion can be found in the announcement in
the attachment. </p>
