Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen, liebe Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter,
liebe Studentinnen und Studenten,

hier noch ein Top-Tipp fürs Wochenende, um sich und die Famlie und die Enkel
auf den aktuellen Stand der Forschung zu bringen:

Die Uni veranstaltet erstmals einen "Science and Innovation Day", wo sich
insbesondere die aktuelle Spitzenforschung vorstellt. Wir sind auch dabei,
und zwar am Samstag 10-12 h beim Max-Planck Campus. Ich selbst bin von 11-12
h dort.

Eine Empfehlung wäre es z.B. von 09:30 - 10:30 mit Till Gocht
(Geowissenschaftler) hinter die Fassaden der KI-Forschung auf der oberen
Viehweide zu schauen und dann bei meiner Truppe (10:00 - 12:00, Kerstin Rau,
Thomas Gläßle: "Wie gut versteht eine Maschine die Natur? Vorhersage von
Bodentypen im Schönbuch" zu Kaffee und Kuchen vorbeizuschauen

Natürlich sind die vielen anderen Angebote auch toll:-)

Dear members and friends of our Cluster,

this week, Tübingen's largest research institutions open their doors to the
public with a big event, the Science and Innovation Days, starting this
Wednesday, 29 June, and ending on Saturday, 2 July (full program here, only
in German:

have to register, and most are in German. 

We would like to draw your attention especially to events with participation
of our Cluster members. It's quite impressive, you can visit interactive
booths, a movie screening (plus discussion), a lecture with a young fiction
author (plus discussion), and there are activities for kids, too. Please

a great opportunity to bring along your friends and family members and
introduce them to the world of machine learning in a fun way.

Our partners, the MPI-IS and Cyber Valley, have alse set up a great program
around AI/machine learning, in which we participate
