<p>Die ukrainische Literatur war bisher ein weißer Fleck
auf der Landkarte der europäischen Literaturen. Die
von dem Slavisten<span> </span><strong

Ulrich Schmid</strong><span> </span>herausgegebene<span> </span><i
style="box-sizing: inherit; font-style: italic;">Ukrainische
Literaturgeschichte</i><span> </span>und das von der
Übersetzerin<span> </span><strong
style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Claudia
Dathe</strong><span> </span>und der Autorin<span> </span><strong
style="box-sizing: inherit; font-weight: 700;">Tanja
Maljartschuk<span> </span></strong>betreute Projekt
einer<span> </span><i
style="box-sizing: inherit; font-style: italic;">Ukrainischen
Bibliothek</i><span> </span>der Klassiker macht die
reiche ukrainische Kultur und Literatur und ihre
Bedeutsamkeit im europäischen Kontext sichtbar. </p>
<p>Ulrich Schmid und Claudia Dathe stellen die <i>Literaturgeschichte </i>und
die <i>Klassikerbibliothek </i>am 9. Juni um 18.15 Uhr

<p>The event features the Russian author Elena Malisova
and the Ukrainian author Katerina Silvanova presenting
their bestselling and controversial novel Pioneer
Summer (published in German in 2024 as Du und ich und
der Sommer). A major success in the Russian-speaking
world, the novel has been banned in Russia under “LGBT
propaganda” laws. Both authors now live in exile due
to increasing political pressure, while their work
stands as a powerful testimony to cultural resistance
and literary expression under repression. The event
offers an opportunity to engage with the authors and
explore themes of queer literature, censorship, and
transnational cultural production.</p>
