at the Institute of Visual Computing and Human-Centered Technology,
in the Research Unit of Computer Graphics TU Wien is offering a
position as university assistant prae-doc (all genders) limited to
expected 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: immediately.<br>
<br>
Tasks:<br>
Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as
examinations<br>
Research and project activity<br>
Writing a dissertation and publications<br>
Participation in scientific events<br>
Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative
tasks<br>
<br>
Your profile:<br>
Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in computer science
or similar<br>
Very good knowledge in visualization, visual computing, and / or
human-computer interaction<br>
Interest and / or experience in interactive data analysis and
visualization (e.g., interactive simulation and visualization,
human-AI collaboration for visual data analysis, perception in
visualization) <br>
Very good skills in programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++,
WebGPU, Vulkan, OpenGL, CUDA, or similar)<br>
Interest in student supervision; prior involvement in teaching
(e.g., tutoring) is a plus<br>
Very good skills in English communication and writing; Knowledge
of German (level B1) or willingness to learn in the first year<br>
Very good communicative skills and ability to work as an
independent and flexible researcher in an international team<br>

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian
collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of
currently EUR 2,832.10/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week.
